Joined on stage by the Secretary-General’s Adviser and Dean of Public Policy at UMD Robert Orr, she outlined the opportunities and challenges technology presents and the importance of simultaneously empowering and protecting children in the digital world. She highlighted some of UNICEF’s innovative work around the globe like the U Report and magic box initiatives to name just a few.
Her remarks included a call for everyone’s ideas, innovation – which is key if SDGs are to be met by 2030 – and involvement in UNICEF’s efforts.
